Privacy Policy

Overview

This privacy policy describes how Psi Ops ("the app", "we", "us") — a mobile game published by Puretoneix LLC — collects, uses, and protects information when you play. By using Psi Ops, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Psi Ops is designed to collect the minimum amount of information needed to run the game, enable competitive play, prevent abuse, and serve ads.

• Account identifier: A Firebase Authentication user ID is generated when you first launch the app (anonymous sign-in or Google Play Games Sign-In).
• Username: A display name you choose, shown to opponents and on the leaderboard.
• Gameplay statistics: Wins, losses, rating, current and best streaks, session counts, and high scores.
• Match state: Transient game data (lobby code, current round, opponent picks) stored only for the duration of an active match.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push token: A token tied to your Firebase installation, stored in Firestore so that we can deliver re-engagement push notifications in future releases. This is a push-notification token, not a tracking or advertising identifier.
• Firebase Analytics events: Anonymous gameplay telemetry including screen views, match start and end events, game mode, category, difficulty, result, match duration, matchmaking wait time, sign-in method, and difficulty unlocks. These events are aggregated and do not contain personal identifiers such as your name, email, or contacts.
• Google Play Integrity attestation: A device integrity signal supplied by Google Play used to verify the app has not been tampered with and to prevent cheating and abuse.
• Firebase Remote Config: The app may fetch server-driven feature flags and configuration values to toggle features without a new release.
• Advertising data (via Google AdMob): When ads are shown, Google AdMob collects the Android Advertising ID and related device/event data as described in Google's advertising data policies (see Advertising section below).

We do not collect: real names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location, photos, files, or browsing history. We do not run our own ad-tracking identifiers — any advertising identifier collection is performed by Google AdMob as the ad-serving provider.

How Information Is Used

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in across sessions.
• To match you with opponents in 1v1 multiplayer.
• To calculate and display your rating, statistics, and leaderboard standing.
• To prevent abuse (duplicate accounts, cheating, exploits) via Google Play Integrity attestation.
• To analyze anonymous gameplay telemetry and crash data for product improvement and bug diagnosis.
• To retain your FCM push token so that we can deliver future re-engagement or announcement notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
• To serve advertising through Google AdMob. AdMob may use the collected data for ad delivery and ad personalization subject to Google's policies and your device-level ad settings.

Advertising

Psi Ops displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, including banner, interstitial, and rewarded ad formats.

AdMob collects the Android Advertising ID and related device and event data (such as app events, approximate location derived from IP, and ad interaction data) in order to serve and measure ads. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's advertising data policies:

You can opt out of ad personalization or reset/delete your Advertising ID at any time on Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (or Reset advertising ID). Once deleted, apps will no longer receive a personalized advertising identifier on your device.

We do not sell user data. Advertising is served by Google AdMob subject to Google's advertising data policies linked above. We do not run our own ad tracking.

Data Storage and Security

Gameplay and account data is stored on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Realtime Database) operated by Google LLC. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and encrypted at rest by Firebase. Access is restricted by Firebase Security Rules so that you can read and modify only your own account data. App integrity is validated via Firebase App Check backed by Google Play Integrity.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. Limited data is processed by third-party service providers and visible inside the app:

• Your username and rating are visible to opponents during a match and on the public leaderboard.
• Operational data is processed by Google Firebase as our infrastructure provider.
• Anonymous event data is processed by Firebase Analytics.
• Advertising and behavioral ad data (including the Android Advertising ID) is processed by Google AdMob for ad serving and measurement.
• Device integrity signals are processed by Google Play Integrity.

Third-Party Services

Psi Ops relies on the following third-party services. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies:

Children

Psi Ops is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete the account.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Visit psi-ops.web.app/delete-account for instructions. Requests are processed within 30 days. You can independently reset or delete your Android Advertising ID via your device settings as described in the Advertising section above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Effective" date above will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
