This privacy policy describes how Psi Ops ("the app", "we", "us") — a mobile game published by Puretoneix LLC — collects, uses, and protects information when you play. Playing Psi Ops does not, by itself, mean you have consented to anything beyond what this policy describes; where the law requires your consent, such as for advertising and analytics identifiers in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for it separately, as described under Advertising below.
Psi Ops is designed to collect the minimum amount of information needed to run the game, enable competitive play, prevent abuse, and serve ads.
We do not collect: real names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location, photos, files, or browsing history. We do not run our own ad-tracking identifiers — any advertising identifier collection is performed by Google AdMob as the ad-serving provider. Direct messages and appeal statements are free text, so anything you type into a message is stored as you typed it, and so is an appeal; do not put information in either that you would not want kept. If you contact us by email — for support, to request a copy of your data, or to report a child using the app — we receive your email address and whatever you write to us, kept as part of that correspondence.
Psi Ops displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, including banner, interstitial, and rewarded ad formats.
AdMob collects the Android Advertising ID and related device and event data (such as app events, approximate location derived from IP, and ad interaction data) in order to serve and measure ads. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's advertising data policies:

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland. Google's User Messaging Platform asks for your consent before ads or analytics use an advertising identifier. Analytics starts denied by default and is only turned on where consent is not required or you have given it. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → PRIVACY CHOICES.
If you are in a US state with its own privacy law. The same Settings → PRIVACY CHOICES button shows that state's privacy choices, including an opt-out. Your choice reaches Google's ad SDK through the Global Privacy Platform (GPP) signal Google's consent SDK writes for it.
You can also opt out of ad personalization or reset/delete your Advertising ID at any time on Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (or Reset advertising ID). Once deleted, apps will no longer receive a personalized advertising identifier on your device.
Advertising is served by Google AdMob subject to Google's advertising data policies linked above. We do not run our own ad tracking.
Gameplay and account data is stored on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Realtime Database) operated by Google LLC. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and encrypted at rest by Firebase. Access is restricted by Firebase Security Rules: your game progress, friend list, block list and most of your statistics can be read only by you. Your rating, wins and losses are shown publicly on the leaderboard, and other information that other players can see is described under Sharing. The app attaches a Play Integrity attestation to its requests through Firebase App Check.
Direct messages are available only between players who have accepted each other as friends, and only on accounts signed in with Google Play Games — guest accounts cannot send or receive them.
Storage and retention. Messages are stored on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and are deleted automatically 90 days after they are sent; the preview of the latest message that each conversation shows in the message list is cleared on the same schedule. We do not read conversations routinely, and message content is never used for advertising or analytics. The conversation record itself — both accounts' IDs and the time of the last message, among other fields such as its preview text and whether it's locked — is kept even after one participant deletes their account, so the other participant's copy of the thread stays intact.
Reporting and review. Either participant can report a conversation from inside the app. When a report is filed, up to 50 of the most recent messages in that conversation are copied onto the report so that they can be reviewed. Those copies are reviewed by our staff only if the report contributes to a messaging restriction and the restricted player appeals it, and are kept for 90 days after the report, or, if the reported player files an appeal, for 90 days after that appeal is decided; they are then deleted automatically.
Records that outlive an account. Report records (which accounts were involved, the reason and the date), appeals — including the statement the player wrote — and our internal audit log stay even if an account they name is deleted, so that past moderation decisions can still be explained and reports already filed still count. They are not kept forever: each is deleted 2 years after its own last activity, unless a report or appeal is still needed as evidence for a restriction in force right now or is being held for a pending appeal, in which case it is kept until that need ends. Only the message copies on a report expire sooner, as described above. A device record we keep to enforce bans is deleted a year after the device was last seen, unless the device is currently banned, in which case we keep it regardless of age. Staff access is logged. Each time a reviewer uses our moderation tools — including to open the appeal queue, look up an account's moderation status, view an appeal and its reports, decide an appeal, lift a restriction, or delete an account — it is recorded in an internal audit log together with the reviewer's identity and the time.
We do not sell your data for money. Advertising identifiers are shared with Google AdMob to serve and measure ads, which some US state privacy laws treat as a "sale" or "share"; see the opt-out under Advertising above. Limited data is otherwise processed by third-party service providers and visible inside the app:

Psi Ops is intended for players 18 and older. Google Play uses our declared audience settings to try to keep users it identifies as minors from finding or downloading Psi Ops; by Google's own account of how that system works, it cannot catch every case.
Separately, and regardless of Google Play's own controls: Psi Ops is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
The app includes free-text direct messaging between players. It is limited to players who have accepted each other as friends and who are signed in with Google Play Games; guest accounts cannot message anyone. Any conversation can be blocked and reported from inside the app, but messages are not monitored in advance. Reporting a player blocks them straight away, reports can lead to a messaging restriction on the reported account, and our staff review reported messages when a restricted player appeals.
If you believe a child under 13 is using Psi Ops, contact us at support@puretoneixgames.com. We will delete the account, and because we know it belongs to a child, our staff also remove the messages it sent from the other player's copy of every conversation, and its lines from any report copies — see psi-ops.web.app/delete-account for what account deletion removes.
Legal bases. We process account and gameplay data to provide the game under our contract with you (our Terms of Use), to prevent abuse and keep the game fair and safe as our legitimate interest, and, for advertising and analytics identifiers where the law requires it, with your consent as described under Advertising above.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to our processing of it, and receive a portable copy of it. You can exercise most of these through the app or the pages linked below; for anything else, contact us at support@puretoneixgames.com. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Deletion. You can delete your account from Settings in the app, or from psi-ops.web.app/delete-account if you no longer have the app installed; a small number of records are kept afterwards, as that page lists. Data written back under a deleted account by a device still signed in — such as a leftover notification token or saved progress — is cleared by a daily cleanup job that runs for 30 days after deletion.
Your copy of your data. You can ask us for a copy of the data linked to your account; email support@puretoneixgames.com to request one.
You can independently reset or delete your Android Advertising ID via your device settings as described in the Advertising section above.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Effective" date above will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
September 22, 2026: Added the Discover tab to the Sharing section: any signed-in player shown your profile there can see the same details as a lookup, and turning off friend requests also removes you from Discover; added whether you have earned an ad-free period and when it ends to the information we collect.

September 15, 2026: Added direct messages between friends, the friend list, friend requests, blocks, online presence, reports and appeals to the information we collect; added the Message Storage, Retention and Review section covering message retention, report copies and when staff review them, records kept after deletion, and audit logging; and rewrote the Children section for user-to-user messaging.
